Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Concrete Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality concrete finishing work on various construction projects, ensuring smooth, durable, and visually appealing surfaces. Responsibilities
- Finish concrete surfaces by smoothing, shaping, and texturing freshly poured concrete using hand tools, power tools, and trowels to achieve specified textures and finishes.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements and ensure accurate execution of concrete forms and finishes.
- Install rebar reinforcement and construct formwork to prepare for concrete pouring, ensuring structural integrity and adherence to safety standards.
- Operate heavy equipment such as concrete mixers, pumps, and cutting tools safely and effectively on construction sites.
- Perform tasks related to concrete pouring, finishing, cutting, sealing, caulking, and restoration to meet project specifications.
- Collaborate with carpenters, masons, and other tradespeople to coordinate work sequences and maintain a safe construction environment.
- Follow all construction workplace safety regulations diligently while adhering to safety protocols during heavy lifting, equipment operation, and site activities.
Experience
- Proven experience working on construction projects with a focus on concrete finishing or related masonry work.
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes related to concrete work is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings for formwork construction and layout.
- Familiarity with heavy machinery operation including concrete mixers, pumps, saws, and power tools used in concrete cutting and finishing.
- Background in working safely within construction workplace safety regulations is essential.
- Skills in rebar installation, formwork construction, plastering, stucco application, tile laying, flooring installation, and renovation projects are highly valued.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining precision in finishing tasks is required.
