What are the responsibilities and job description for the Venture Growth Investment Analyst position at Flashpoint?
Flashpoint Investments is a tech-focused investor backing U.S. and global software companies, with investments ranging from $1M to $25M per company. Our Venture Growth arm targets early-growth software businesses with $2M–$10M in ARR at entry. The majority of founders are from Israel and Europe.
What we invest in AI-native / AI-enabled software companies:
- Vertical Software (Hospitality, Proptech, Construction tech, Developer tools, etc.)
- B2B fintech (embedded payments, stablecoins, tools for fintechs, etc.)
- Healthcare IT
With a global footprint across New York, London, Tel Aviv, Barcelona, Zurich, Limassol, Budapest, Riga, and Warsaw, Flashpoint has:
- 50 active portfolio companies
- 20 successful exits, including Chess.com (GA), Shazam (Apple), Marketman (PSG Equity), OfficeRnd (BSIP private equity), Mize (a strategic owned by Softbank)
The Role
We’re looking for an Analyst to join our New York office and become a core member of our flat, international investment team.
Key Responsibilities
- Deal Sourcing: Identify and evaluate early- and growth-stage software companies
- Investment Analysis: Financial modeling, market research, and valuation work
- Due Diligence: Support and lead commercial diligence processes
- Portfolio Value Creation: Work with portfolio companies on strategy, capital raises, budgeting and GTM strategy
- Exits: Assist with exit planning and execution
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM with a strong interest in finance
- 1–3 years in VC, IB, PE, corp finance, consulting, or Big 4
- CFA, MBA, or a top-tier academic background is a strong plus.
Hard Skills:
- Strong financial modeling and enterprise valuation skills
- Deep understanding of software business models
- Comfortable working across different capital structures
- Familiar with term sheets and key legal deal terms
- Bonus: if you can code or have built a “vibe-coded” app (welcome to the AI era)
Soft Skills:
- Self-starter, intellectually curious, highly responsive
- Strong communicator with persuasion skills
- Team-oriented, thrives in fast-paced environments
- Fluent in English and Hebrew (other European languages are a plus)
