We are seeking a Logistics Administrator – Receiving & Inventory to oversee shipping, receiving, and motor intake operations while supporting logistics processes, inventory accuracy, and team coordination at our Longview facility. This role is responsible for managing incoming shipments and motor intake, ensuring accurate inspection, documentation, storage, and system entry while supporting overall shipping, receiving, and inventory operations.
Primary Duties
We are seeking a Logistics Administrator – Receiving & Inventory to oversee shipping, receiving, and motor intake operations while supporting logistics processes, inventory accuracy, and team coordination at our Longview facility. This role is responsible for managing incoming shipments and motor intake, ensuring accurate inspection, documentation, storage, and system entry while supporting overall shipping, receiving, and inventory operations.
Primary Duties
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments and motors for accuracy, completeness, and condition
- Match purchase orders to packing lists; resolve discrepancies with Buyers
- Complete intake documentation for motors and maintain accurate records
- Perform visual inspections and escalate quality concerns
- Accurately receive materials into ERP and assign stock locations
- Ensure proper physical storage and inventory accuracy
- Support/manage shipping and receiving operations and coordinate with internal teams
- Process invoicing activities, including triggering AP and milestone billing
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain required certifications
- Identify and communicate process improvement opportunities
- Adapt to changing workflows, shipment volumes, and priorities
- 5 years of experience in receiving, logistics, or inventory, including 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role
- Experience using ERP systems for inventory and transaction processing
- Ability to adapt to changing workloads, priorities, and schedules
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures and compliance standards
- Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to ensure timely and accurate processing of incoming shipments and data
- Proven ability to identify, troubleshoot, and escalate shipment discrepancies
- Working knowledge of electric motors, including disassembly, testing, and evaluation preferred
- Strong technical aptitude and product knowledge
- Ability to safely operate forklifts; certification preferred
- Experience with overhead crane operations and rigging practices preferred
- Willingness to support operations outside of standard working hours, including after-hours calls and occasional weekend call-in
