Brand Introduction:
Flamingo Estate is a modern luxury lifestyle and wellness brand rooted in Los Angeles. We create sensorial, nature-inspired products across home fragrance, bath and body, pantry, and gifting that celebrate pleasure, ritual, and the natural world. With a distinctive aesthetic and an elevated point of view, Flamingo Estate has become a trusted partner for leading boutique retailers, specialty stores, hospitality concepts, and high-end department stores. Our mission is to bring beauty, and the magic of the garden into everyday life—one product, one partnership, and one experience at a time.
Role Summary:
As West Coast Sales Manager, Wholesale, you will own the full spectrum of wholesale sales, relationship development, and operational execution across the West Coast territory. You will drive new business growth (door openings, territory expansion) and maintain strong partnerships with existing accounts—ensuring brand standards are upheld, inventory health is optimized, and visual merchandising and brand experience are prioritized. You will serve as the primary brand ambassador for Flamingo Estate in the wholesale channel across boutiques, speciality retail, hospitality/hospitality and gifting programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the wholesale sales plan for the West Coast territory, aligned with the brand’s overarching growth strategy.
- Identify, pitch and open new accounts—boutiques, specialty stores, hospitality & gifting programs (hotels, resorts, corporate gifting) and department-store concessions (only for store visit and VM support).
- Manage and grow existing accounts: regular check-ins, inventory audit, reorder cadence, performance reviews, and relationship building.
- Work closely with the wholesale operations team to ensure order accuracy, compliance with partner requirements, smooth processing and fulfillment, on-time execution, and clear communication for both standard and custom orders.
- Provide visual merchandising (VM) solutions, fixture placement guidance, plan-ograms, and seasonal refresh support to elevate the Flamingo Estate presentation in store.
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Director of Wholesale and cross-functional teams (marketing, operations, logistics, VM, training) to support launches, promotional programs, and branded initiatives.
- Track wholesale sales metrics (net sales, sell-through, inventory levels, margin performance) and provide actionable insights to optimize account performance and margin contribution.
- Represent the brand at trade shows, showroom appointments, account events and retailer meetings.
- Ensure brand standards and luxury positioning are maintained across all partner touch-points, including hospitality programs and gifting collaborations.
- Assist with training and education for retail partners’ sales staff to build brand knowledge and drive sell-through.
- Assist in planning on site activations with retail and hospitality partners. Act as brand ambassador and expert while speaking with store customers.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 3-4 years of wholesale sales or account management experience in luxury lifestyle, home fragrance, beauty or bath & body category (or specialty channels).
- Proven track record of opening new accounts and growing existing wholesale business.
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to influence across senior retailer contacts.
- Strong commercial acumen: comfortable analyzing sales/margin data, inventory flows, sell-through, and making recommendations to drive results.
- Visual merchandising sensibility and ability to partner with VM teams or execute small-scale VM initiatives directly in store.
- Travel within a regional territory (on-site store visits, VM audits, buyer meetings) and occasional trade show attendance.
- Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a growth-oriented brand environment.
