Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining presentation standards and adhering to food safety protocols
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Manage guest inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure overall guest satisfaction with a positive attitude
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while maintaining accountability for all sales
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold sanitation standards
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for reservations management
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and handle guest relations effectively
- Culinary experience or familiarity with food handling, sanitation, and food safety practices
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours while maintaining high service standards
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and order calculations
- Experience with food industry standards related to serving, bussing, host/hostess duties, and kitchen support
