JOB TITLE: Inventory Control Specialist
FSLA Status: Salary/Exempt
DEPT: Accounting SHIFT: 1st
REPORTS TO: Accounting Manager
SUMMARY: This position requires a strong attention to detail and likes to work with numbers. Maintains and manages all the electronic and paper information to our company’s parts; BOMs and routers. Has the ability to understand unit of measures and verify data. Assist in developing and maintaining an effective workflow for document control procedures. Managing and processing inventory transactions. Manage the daily cycle count procedure. Assist in scheduling the production floor. Process work order transactions and other projects as they are presented.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:
- Strong attention to detail, maintains all part’s structure, both electronically and paper. Multi-task and adjust to the workings of a dynamic environment. Interact with production supervisors, office personnel and management to input the proper part’s structure. Ability to understand the financial impact of inventory transactions.
- Process work order transactions and investigate any differences. Interact with warehouse personnel and production leads.
- Manage the daily cycle count program, research variances and report results.
- Scheduling production floor as advised by the Director of Operations.
JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge of operating a PC and working on inventory software and programs. Sage software experience preferred, not required.
- Should possess strong calculative and analytical skill sets.
- Problem Solver: Think about what a process should be, evaluate the options, and implement solutions. Understand a good challenge, and find it deeply satisfying when you contribute to the success and resolution to said challenge.
- General knowledge of bookkeeping or accounting.
- Ability to understand inventory and production transactions.
- Ability and effectiveness to manage time to meet required deadlines.
- Good written and verbal skills for networking and synchronizing work.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2 years’ experience in inventory control preferred
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES/REQUIREMENTS/CONDITIONS:
- Sitting, walking, standing, reaching, listening, reading, speaking, operation of computer terminal, telephone communications. Some lifting is required (up to 50lbs.)
- Contact with numerous internal individuals on a daily basis
