POSITION: Receiving Coordinator-1st Shift
REPORTS TO: Warehouse Supervisor
Position Summary
Responsible for positively interacting with carriers, internal drivers and associates as part of customer relations. This position will also ensure that all paperwork and inspections are completed thoroughly and completely meeting all regulatory and food safety programs. This position will also ensure the productive flow of work on the docks and timely turns of trailers.
Essential Functions
- Checks in all carriers and properly directs them into the proper docks to be loaded or unloaded.
- Ensures that all dock and trailer safety procedures are in place and being followed including verification all trailer inspections are completed correctly.
- Verify all paperwork matches the product being loaded or being received in.
- Using the SAP system, receives in all loads and ships/pushes all outbound loads in the system.
- Obtains required signatures documenting delivery of goods and receipt of goods.
- Communicates with internal and external employees around status of loads and appointments in a positive and timely manner.
- Provides guidance and direction to help to properly load the trailers meeting all DOT regulations.
- Ensures efficient flow on the docks and associates are not waiting for next work to be in doors.
- Load and unload trailers with use of forklift and properly use RF scanner to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Must comply with all forklift requirements, including all testing and certification requirements.
- Must comply with all applicable OSHA regulations.
- Maintains high levels of housekeeping and sanitation in and around work areas and complies with all GMP requirements.
- Interact positively with all internal truck drivers and ensure proper communication of trailer needs into doors.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to sit for extended period of time.
- Must be able to push or pull up to 50 lbs. with assistance.
- Exposure to noise levels requiring hearing protection.

Certifications and experience
Must have valid forklift certification.
- Must have 1 – 3 years of experience using a Forklift.
- Must be computer literate and skilled with Microsoft.
- Must be able to follow instructions and work under low supervision in a demanding environment.
- Must be able to assume responsibility and be held strictly accountable.
- Must be detail oriented, organized, energetic, and maintain a high sense of urgency.
FLSA Designation: This position is Non-Exempt and is eligible for overtime.
