Position Overview
The Medical Assistant assists Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, and other medical staff by performing administrative and clinical duties under the direction of a physician.
Primary Responsibilities
Open and prepare exam rooms for clinic operations.
Room patients, obtain and document vital signs, and confirm medical history.
Receive and respond to tasks promptly, including patient call-backs, scheduling follow-ups, and coordinating care for procedure-related complications.
Assist providers during exams and minor procedures, including wound care and post-surgical follow-ups.
Answer incoming back-office calls, check voicemails daily, and return calls promptly.
Schedule and reschedule patient appointments as needed.
Clean exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and prepare procedure trays.
Assign documents, telephone encounters, and lab results to the appropriate provider.
Perform chart preparation by confirming records for new patient consults and ensuring labs, imaging, and pathology are available.
Manage and maintain accurate, up-to-date patient health records in ECW.
Carry out additional tasks as assigned by management.
Salary : $21 - $24
