Host / Server Assistant | Memoir

$18 - $22 based on experience

About the Job:

This is a cross-trained front-of-house position that may include Host, Server Assistant, and Food Runner responsibilities. Your scheduled role may vary depending on the needs of the restaurant each day or week.

• Create a great first and last impression by warmly welcoming and thanking guests.
• Seat guests, manage the waitlist, and help maintain an organized flow throughout the dining room.
• Assist with carry-out orders and answer basic questions about the menu.
• Support servers by preparing and resetting tables, refilling water, and responding to guest needs.
• Deliver food to the correct tables quickly and accurately while communicating with the kitchen and service teams.
• Clear dishes and keep tables, service areas, and guest-facing spaces clean and organized.
• Help ensure guests receive timely and attentive service throughout their visit.
• Work closely with hosts, servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to keep every shift running smoothly.
• Be willing to step into different support roles as needed.
• Familiarity with OpenTable and Toast is a plus!

• You’re a friendly, approachable team player with a passion for hospitality.
• You have strong communication skills and enjoy interacting with guests and team members.
• You’re flexible and willing to cross-train in multiple front-of-house roles based on the needs of the restaurant.
• You’re eager to learn about our menu, beverages, and carry-out process.
• You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable managing different responsibilities throughout your shift.
• You’re organized, attentive, and committed to creating a clean and welcoming atmosphere.
• You’re comfortable being on your feet and safely carrying trays, plates, and other items throughout your shift.
• You have availability to work primarily nights and weekends.
