Flagship Networks is looking for a highly qualified Small and Medium Business Systems Engineer. Candidates must demonstrate a track record of implementing Microsoft technologies and consulting with firms with 50-300 employees.
The candidate should be comfortable speaking to and advising small business owners as well as being able to communicate effectively between technical and business professionals.
Candidates must have 5 years of professional IT experience. Previous consulting experience is a plus. Documentation skills are a necessity.
The candidate should be able to:
- Review any existing Microsoft based network of 50-300 employees
- Identify strengths and weaknesses of SMB networks
- Be comfortable recommending new technologies
- Estimate the amount of time it would take to implement proposed solutions
- Travel to client sites as necessary (limited to CT, NYC and Southern Westchester)
Specific technologies used include:
- Microsoft Windows Server/ Azure
- Active Directory /Azure AD
- Office 365
- Nutanix HCI
- VMWare virtualization solutions
- Firewalls (Fortinet, Cisco, Meraki)
- Switching (Dell, Meraki, Cisco)
- Meraki Wireless
- Backup/DR solutions
