Description
This individual is responsible for ensuring the safety of children at street crossings near schools and for interrupting the flow of traffic to assist students in safely and expeditiously entering or leaving busy highways.
**Seasonal Position based on School Calendar, depending on where assigned**
**This position requires some scheduling flexibility due to delayed openings and/or early dismissals**
Minimum Selection Criteria:
Ability to work part-time, two shifts daily, seasonal work.
Must complete required training for certification and annual recertification.
Must maintain a proper dress code as directed by the FCSO.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
High School Diploma or GED.
Must have valid Florida Driver’s License.
Ability to work well with youth and communicate with both youth and adults
Ability to perform duties in high volume traffic situations
Ability to exercise good judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions.
Ability to stand for a long period of time in all outdoor weather conditions.
