Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and maintain various vehicle components including engines, transmissions, powertrains, brakes, suspension, and steering systems.
- Conduct specialized repairs such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations, diesel engine repairs, wheel alignments, and auto body repairs when necessary.
- Use hand tools and power tools efficiently to disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicle parts following manufacturer specifications.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems effectively.
- Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and quality control measures before returning vehicles to customers.
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate clearly with customers about repair procedures and recommendations.
Skills
- Proven dealership or automotive repair experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and electrical systems.
- Knowledge of ADAS technology, schematics reading, diesel engine repair, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and alignment machines.
- Familiarity with GM vehicles or similar makes is preferred but not required.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent customer service skills to explain repairs clearly.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
