Overview
Flagger Force, an industry leader in traffic control, is currently hiring a Web Application Engineer. This position will be based out of our corporate campus in Hummelstown, PA.
We are seeking a talented and passionate Web Application Engineer to join our Engineering Team. The ideal candidate will be a skilled professional with a strong background in building modern, scalable, and high-performance web applications. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our web-based applications, with a focus on creating a seamless and engaging user experience. This role requires expertise in ReactJS, a solid understanding of Progressive Web Apps (PWA), and experience working with and troubleshooting .NET-based APIs.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, reusable, and reliable code for our web applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to define, design, and ship new features.
- Develop and implement user interface components using ReactJS and its core principles.
- Build and maintain Progressive Web Applications (PWAs) to deliver an enhanced user experience across all devices.
- Work closely with other engineers to integrate with and troubleshoot .NET-based and 3rd Party APIs.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and responsiveness.
- Write and maintain comprehensive documentation for new and existing features.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain a high level of code quality and consistency.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure our applications remain modern and competitive.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Web Application Engineer, Front-End Engineer, or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with ReactJS and its ecosystem.
- Familiarity with Progressive Web App (PWA) concepts and best practices.
- Experience working with and troubleshooting .NET-based and 3rd-party APIs.
- Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools.
- Experience with agile software development methodologies and tools such as Git, Jira, and Confluence.
- A knack for benchmarking and optimization.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with cloud environments such as Azure and Google Cloud as well as datastores based on SQLServer or PostgreSQL is nice to have.
- Steel toed boots or the ability to obtain prior to joining the organization.
- 2 years minimum industry related experience
Preferred qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science preferred
