Youth Flag Football Coach – Flag Star Football (Spring/Fall 2026)
Locations: DC, Maryland, Virginia (multiple sites)
Schedule: Saturdays and/or Sundays (hours vary by location)

About the Role
We’re looking for Youth Flag Football Coaches who bring energy, leadership, and a genuine passion for working with kids. Coaches will lead teams of young athletes through practices, games, and skill‑building sessions each weekend. You’ll set the tone, keep players safe, and create an environment where every kid feels supported, challenged, and excited to return the next week.
This role also offers potential opportunities at additional locations and may lead to summer camp coaching positions for top performers.
What You’ll Do
- Coach and mentor youth athletes during weekend practices and games
- Teach fundamentals, sportsmanship, teamwork, and confidence
- Create a positive, structured, and fun environment for all players
- Manage warm‑ups, rotations, substitutions, and game flow
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with players, families, and league staff
- Support site leadership with setup, breakdown, and on‑field operations
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with kids (coaching, camps, mentoring, babysitting, etc.)
- High energy, patience, and strong leadership presence
- Ability to manage a team independently and confidently
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to the full season
- Passion for football or youth sports (all skill levels welcome)
- Must pass a background check
- Reliable transportation to/from league sites
Schedule & Commitment
- Saturdays and/or Sundays
- Hours vary by location (morning through early evening)
- Spring and Fall seasons (8–9 weeks each)
- Additional shifts may be available at nearby locations
- Strong performers may be invited to coach at Summer 2026 Commanders Camps
