TRAINING TECHNICIAN (TITLE 32)

This National Guard position is for a TRAINING TECHNICIAN (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D30240000 and is part of the Florida National Guard.

Qualifications:

AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Federal Civil Service "under the authority of 32 U.S.C. 709" and is open to Category 1: All permanent/indefinite (T32 and T5) technicians employed by the agency Category 3: All current military members of the Florida National Guard; and Category 4: All individuals who qualify for membership in the Florida National Guard and are willing to become T32 Dual Status technicians.

PCS: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs, MAY be authorized. Authorization for payment of PCS expenses will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard.

Military Grades: Enlisted; E4 thru E6

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:GS09 Must have at least one year of specialized experiences at the GS-07 level or the equivalent which provides knowledge and/or experience in performing interviews and counseling techniques; training techniques and instruction methods; task analysis procedures, learning processes, curriculum development, training evaluations, and education and training systems and products; effective writing skills; editing practices; instructional media application, training reporting, program and curriculum validation, and implementation procedures. Experience in scheduling training events and facilities; supporting assistance visits and training meetings; or assisting in work center and individual job qualification standard development; education institution registration requirements; and military personnel classification system and policies. Experience in the capabilities of communicative interpersonal skill applications and distance learning concepts. Experience as a participant and presenter during training and military or civilian conference events.

Responsibilities:

As a Training Specialist, GS-1702-09, you will oversee the Group Training Programs and Subordinate Unit Compliance. This position serves as the Group Unit Training Manager (UTM) and operates under the direction of the Force Support Squadron (FSS) - Force Development Office (FDO). The incumbent acts as the primary advisor to the Group Commander /A-Staff Director on training policy and execution across subordinate units. They lead the planning, development, and evaluation of group-wide education and training initiatives, establishing a cohesive training strategy and ensuring compliance through coordination with subordinate or assigned Unit Training Managers (UTMs). The incumbent provides policy interpretation, as directed through the FDO, from Headquarters (HQ) and Major Command (MAJCOM) levels, ensuring the seamless integration of these policies into all unit-level training programs.
