We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead our manufacturing engineering team and drive the development, optimization, and implementation of world-class manufacturing processes.
As Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you will lead a talented team of engineers responsible for developing and implementing efficient, capable, and cost-effective manufacturing processes while managing risk and supporting new product introduction from concept through production.
What You'll Do
- Lead and develop a team of manufacturing engineers supporting precision machining, process development, and continuous improvement.
- Direct the design, development, validation, and implementation of manufacturing processes and systems to optimize quality, cost, efficiency, and capacity.
- Plan and manage engineering projects, including resources, equipment, materials, timelines, priorities, and schedules.
- Lead PFMEA and process capability initiatives to identify and mitigate risk and ensure production readiness.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing opportunities to improve productivity, quality, throughput, cost, and process capability.
- Partner with Operations, Quality, and Management to resolve quality issues through root cause analysis and corrective action.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI), including process development, engineering changes, product upgrades, and transition to production.
- Collaborate with department managers, functional leaders, and Senior Leadership to align engineering priorities with business and operational goals.
- Participate in management reviews, audits, scorecard reviews, strategy meetings, and other key business initiatives.
- Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop engineering talent while establishing clear performance goals, accountability, and career development opportunities.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 8 years of manufacturing engineering experience, preferably within a precision machining environment.
- 3 years of engineering leadership or management experience.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with 3D modeling/design software.
- Experience with Mastercam and SolidWorks.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, process validation, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proven ability to lead engineering projects from concept and development through successful production implementation.
