Overview

We are looking for a creative and strategic Director of Sushi Operations to oversee our six locations and elevate our sushi program. This role demands a leader with proven management experience and a background in high-end sushi who can maintain rigorous quality standards while driving innovation. The ideal candidate will leverage their deep network of sushi chefs to attract top talent and bring the creativity needed to keep our offerings fresh and exciting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the sushi team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize sushi production, quality, and efficiency.
  • Oversee training programs to ensure staff are skilled in sushi preparation techniques and safety standards.
  • Drive business development initiatives to expand our sushi market presence locally and globally.
  • Manage supplier negotiations to secure high-quality ingredients at competitive prices.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance workflow, reduce waste, and improve product consistency.
  • Coordinate with senior leadership on project management efforts related to new product launches or operational expansions.

Qualifications

  • Deep network of sushi chefs to deploy across locations
  • Proven management experience within culinary operations or food service leadership roles.
  • Strong strategic planning skills with the ability to develop long-term growth plans.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing diverse teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent negotiation skills for supplier contracts and partnership opportunities.
  • Experience in business development, including market analysis and expansion strategies.
  • Skilled in project management with a focus on process improvement initiatives.
