Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team to achieve and surpass sales goals through effective coaching, training, and performance management.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans aligned with company objectives to increase market share and customer engagement.
- Oversee daily store operations including inventory management, merchandising, pricing strategies, and POS (Point of Sale) systems to ensure smooth business flow.
- Conduct employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, and onboarding processes to build a high-performing team.
- Manage payroll, bookkeeping, cash handling, and store budgeting activities with precision and accountability.
- Ensure excellent customer service by maintaining high standards of communication skills, phone etiquette, and customer engagement practices.
- Supervise inventory control, stock replenishment, merchandising displays, and store cleanliness to create an inviting shopping environment.
- Coordinate marketing initiatives and promotional activities to boost store visibility and sales performance.
- Oversee shift management responsibilities including scheduling, supervising staff during shifts, and ensuring operational compliance.
- Utilize retail math skills for pricing adjustments, sales analysis, and financial reporting to optimize profitability.
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail sales management or assistant manager roles with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Strong negotiation skills coupled with excellent communication skills for effective team supervision and customer interactions.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
- Experience in recruiting, training & development, employee orientation, and performance evaluation processes.
- Familiarity with POS systems, inventory management software, payroll processing, bookkeeping practices, and retail math principles.
- Knowledge of retail operations including merchandising, stocking procedures, pricing strategies, cash handling, and store management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, perform administrative tasks efficiently, and handle cash handling accurately.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Supervising experience in retail or grocery stores is preferred; experience with wireless sales or marketing is a plus.
