Job Summary

The Part-Time Residential Cleaner will support the Cleaning Supervisor and work as part of a small cleaning team to prepare apartments for new residents and ensure properties are clean, sanitary, and ready for occupancy.

The position specializes in move-in and move-out cleaning, deep cleaning, and routine residential cleaning for 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom apartments. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, organized, and committed to delivering high-quality cleaning services within established timeframes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Move-Out Cleaning

• Thoroughly clean vacant apartments after residents move out.
• Clean and disinfect kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and living areas.
• Clean inside cabinets, drawers, closets, and shelving.
• Clean interior and exterior surfaces of appliances as specified in the work order.
• Remove grease, soap scum, dirt, dust, and other buildup.
• Clean baseboards, doors, door frames, window sills, and accessible blinds.
• Vacuum carpets and sweep and mop hard floors.
• Remove trash and leftover debris within the agreed cleaning scope.
• Check for visible damage, maintenance concerns, or items left behind and report them to the supervisor.

2. Move-In Cleaning

• Prepare apartments for incoming residents.
• Sanitize bathrooms, kitchen surfaces, sinks, and frequently touched areas.
• Clean cabinets and drawers inside and out.
• Clean refrigerators, ovens, and other appliance interiors when included in the assignment.
• Remove dust from fixtures, shelving, baseboards, and accessible surfaces.
• Clean mirrors, interior glass, and window sills.
• Ensure floors and all assigned rooms are clean and presentable.
• Complete a final inspection before the apartment is released as ready for occupancy.

3. Deep Cleaning

• Perform detailed cleaning of kitchens, bathrooms, and living spaces.
• Remove stubborn dirt, grease, grime, and soap residue.
• Detail-clean baseboards, trim, doors, and accessible hard-to-reach areas.
• Clean designated appliances, fixtures, and surfaces according to the work order.
• Follow the company's deep-cleaning checklist and quality standards.

4. Routine Apartment Cleaning

• Dust furniture and accessible surfaces.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms and kitchens.
• Empty trash and replace liners.
• Straighten bedrooms and living spaces as assigned.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary environment throughout the apartment.

Qualifications

• Previous residential, apartment turnover, or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to perform detailed cleaning independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and time-management skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional.
• Ability to follow written checklists and supervisor instructions.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, reach, and lift cleaning supplies within safe limits.
• Reliable transportation to assigned properties preferred.
• Willingness to work flexible part-time hours based on property turnover schedules.

Work Expectations

• Arrive on time and prepared for assigned cleaning jobs.

• Use chemicals and equipment according to product labels and company guidelines.
• Complete assigned apartments within established timeframes without compromising quality.

• Complete a final quality-control checklist before leaving each property.

Performance Standards

Employees will be evaluated on cleaning quality, productivity, attendance, reliability, teamwork, safety compliance, and the ability to prepare apartments to company standards.
