Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finisher / Sander to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying finishing touches to products through sanding, coating, and surface preparation to meet strict quality standards. Your expertise will ensure that each product leaves the facility with a flawless appearance, adhering to safety protocols and production specifications.
Duties
- Sand and finish surfaces using hand tools, power tools, and sanding machines to achieve smooth, even textures in accordance with quality standards.
- Operate coating spray guns, including airless paint spraying and conventional spraying techniques, to apply finishes such as powder coating or industrial paint.
- Prepare surfaces through construction painting surface preparation methods to ensure optimal adhesion of coatings.
- Interpret production documents and technical drawings to accurately perform finishing tasks aligned with project specifications.
- Use precision measuring instruments for quality control checks and visual color comparison to ensure color consistency and surface uniformity.
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling waste materials and cleaning tools after each task.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in industrial finishing, powder coating, or construction painting surface preparation.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, coating spray guns, respirators, and other personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Knowledge of safety protocol adherence including respiratory protection and PPE use during spray painting or coating applications.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent visual color comparison skills for quality assurance.
