Job Overview:
Fixture Concepts, a leader in manufacturing high-quality custom architectural millwork, casework, and store fixtures, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Shop Machine Operator to join our second shift (2:30pm-11pm) team in Saint Peters, Missouri. This position requires a keen eye for detail, commitment to quality, and the ability to work independently while maintaining production efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain CNC routers, edgebanders, and dowel insertion machines
- Read and interpret shop drawings and production orders
- Set up machines and tools based on job specifications
- Monitor quality throughout the production process
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment
- Ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule
- Collaborate with team members and shop supervisors to meet production goals
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience operating CNC routers (preferably Biesse) or other automated woodworking machinery
- Experience in a cabinet shop or woodworking environment is highly preferred
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Dependable, self-motivated, and safety-conscious
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Frequent lifting, carrying, and moving of materials and finished products up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to bend, kneel, twist, and reach overhead as needed.
- Repetitive motion required with hands, wrists, and arms.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production shop environment with exposure to dust, noise, and moving equipment (most PPE provided).
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures in the shop space.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug-test as a condition of employment.
Work Schedule:
- Second Shift (2:30pm - 11pm)
- Monday through Friday
- Overtime/weekends may be required based on production needs
