What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cabinet Maker position at Fixture Concepts, Inc.?
Responsibilities:
- Construct and assemble custom cabinets, casework, and fixtures based on detailed shop drawings and specifications.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
- Ensure products meet high-quality standards with attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines.
- Follow company policies and safety procedures.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in cabinet making, millwork, or a related field.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Familiarity with woodworking tools, machinery, and safety protocols.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Frequent lifting, carrying, and moving of materials and finished products up to 50 lbs.
- Bending, kneeling, stooping, and reaching as needed to assemble and install components.
- Manual dexterity to handle small parts and precision tools.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.
- Tolerance for exposure to dust, wood particles, noise, and shop environment (most PPE provided).
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures in the warehouse and on the loading dock.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug-test as a condition of employment.
Work Schedule:
- Two available shifts: First Shift (6:00am - 2:30pm), Second Shift (2:30pm – 11:00pm)
- Monday through Friday
- Overtime/weekends may be required based on production needs
