Full‑Time Automotive Technician

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (1‑hour unpaid lunch)

Worksite: Quiet, three‑bay home garage with several friendly shop dogs

Core Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair gasoline cars and light trucks
• Perform Missouri Vehicle Safety Inspections
• Handle A/C service and repairs (EPA Section 609 compliant)
• Perform routine services: oil, brakes, suspension, cooling, electrical, drivability
• Maintain accurate repair orders and a clean bay
• Communicate findings, parts needs, and improvement ideas directly with the owner

Must‑Have Qualifications

• ASE or equivalent certification
• Current Missouri Vehicle Inspector Permit
• EPA Section 609 A/C Certification
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift 50 lbs
• Comfortable working around multiple dogs

Nice‑to‑Have Extras

• Experience with digital inspections or shop‑management software
• Welding/fabrication skills
• Interest in mentoring apprentices as we grow

• Automotive service: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
• Missouri State Inspectors License (Preferred)
• ASE Certification (Preferred)
• EPA 609 Certification (Preferred)
