Responsibilities
● Prepare and serve a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and consistency.
● Possess an extensive knowledge of spirits, wines, beer and cocktails, including classic and contemporary creations.
● Provide expert recommendations based on guests' preferences and food pairings.
● Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring all equipment and glassware is spotless.
● Manage inventory and place orders for liquor, beer, wine, and other bar supplies.
● Adhere to all liquor laws and regulations, including age verification and responsible serving.
● Provide exceptional customer service, building rapport with guests and anticipating their needs.
● Contribute to the overall ambiance of the restaurant by maintaining a professional and polished appearance.
● Collaborate with the bar and restaurant teams to ensure seamless service.
Qualifications
● Minimum of 2 - 3 years of bartending experience in an upscale restaurant or upscale bar.
● Extensive knowledge of spirits, wines, beer and cocktail preparation techniques.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
● Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
● Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
● Must be of legal drinking age and able to pass a background check.
Preferred Qualifications
● Formal bartending education or certification.
● Experience with point-of-sale systems.
● Knowledge of wine pairings and food and beverage service.
