What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Diesel Mechanic position at Fix N Go,LLC?
- Experience Diesel Mechanic to join our team in our Hagerstown MD diesel repair facility
- Full Time Monday Thru Friday with some overtime
- Looking for an experienced diesel mechanic that is able to do repairs in the shop and roadside.
- Will need to be able to get DOT certified
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Responding to road side service calls for various repairs on tractors and trailers
- Repairing trailers
- Repairing or replacing steering and braking systems
- Testing trucks to determine vehicle condition
- Running diagnostic tests / Analyzing test results
- Maintaining detailed records of serviced trucks
- Keeping the shop tidy and organized
- Inspects and repairs trucks and trailers in shops and roadside with diesel engines
- Handles routine repairs, including oil and tire changes
- Interprets diagnostic test results accurately
- Writes detailed inspection reports and repair plans
- Collaborates with other diesel mechanics
- Uses power, machine, and hand tools safely
- Follows all motor vehicle repair shop regulations and standards
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Highly developed attention to detail
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
