Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body / Collision Estimator to join our reputable collision repair team. This role involves assessing vehicle damage, preparing accurate repair estimates, and coordinating with customers and technicians to ensure efficient and high-quality repairs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive diagnostics, repair procedures, and excellent customer service skills. Experience in dealership settings, auto service management, or auto estimating is highly desirable. We use CCC 1 estimating and shop management platform. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where technical expertise and customer satisfaction are paramount.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to assess extent of collision or body damage
- Prepare detailed repair estimates & supplements using industry-standard estimating software (CCC One)
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair procedures, timelines, and costs
- Coordinate with body shop technicians, mechanics, and parts departments to facilitate timely repairs
- Upsell additional services such as alignments, suspension repairs, tire services, or transmission work when appropriate
- Maintain accurate documentation of all estimates and repair orders
- Assist with vehicle diagnostics and mechanical assessments as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies throughout the estimation process
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions and concerns professionally
Requirements
- Proven experience in auto body collision estimation or related automotive service management roles
- Auto body / Collision experience or service writing background is preferred
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair procedures including auto body repair, mechanical repairs, transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, shocks & struts, alignment, ADAS, suspension, etc.
- Familiarity with auto estimating software and automotive diagnostics tools
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell additional services tactfully
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair processes
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately when necessary
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
