Position Description: Event Support Specialist

Location: The Encore Hall, Berlin, Ohio
Reports To: Event Coordinator

At The Encore Hall, we don’t just host events—we help create once-in-a-lifetime memories. From “I do” to standing ovations, our team is behind the scenes making MAGIC happen.

We’re looking for an Event Support Specialist who brings positive energy, pride in their work, and a “jump in and help” mindset. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys staying active, working with a close-knit team, and being part of something special. If you like variety, take ownership, and smile when things get busy—you’ll fit right in.

What You’ll Do (Where the MAGIC Happens)

Bring Events to Life

• Set up and transform event spaces with tables, chairs, linens, décor, staging, pipe & drape, and AV equipment—bringing floor plans to life with care and precision.
• Make sure every space is guest-ready, perfect, and welcoming before doors open.

Support the Show

• Assist during events with AV, microphones, lighting, and quick problem-solving to keep things running smoothly.
• Keep an eye on event spaces throughout the day or evening—resetting, refreshing, and responding to last-minute needs with a great attitude.
• Pitch in with catering support, dishwashing, and back-of-house cleanliness when needed (teamwork is our superpower).

Wrap It Up Right

• Help tear down events efficiently and safely, ensuring equipment, furniture, and décor are organized and cared for.
• Reset spaces so they’re ready to shine for the next celebration.

Care for Our Space

• Help maintain the beauty and cleanliness of The Encore Hall through routine cleaning and light maintenance.
• Treat all venue assets with respect, following safety standards and best practices.

Schedule & Work Environment

• Shifts may include days, evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays based on event schedules.
• In-person role at The Encore Hall.
• Ability to commute or relocate to the Millersburg/Berlin area is required.
