- Able to work with minimal supervision and capable of self-checking for completeness and accuracy of work produced.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams and suppliers to define, design, and deliver new products, technical solutions, and enhancements that meet the needs of the company, clients, and end users.
- Contributes to product training seminars and presentations.
- Develops and maintains product documentation.
- Provides customer support in escalated cases.
- Develops standards and documentation for new product designs.
- Creatively designs products to enhance performance and optimize cost.
- Identifies and leads continuous product improvement efforts.
- Designs for manufacturability in all cases.
- Utilizes current product standards as a baseline to design cost-effective engineered specials that meet customer specifications.
- Strong organizational and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Solid understanding of general mechanical and thermal engineering sciences, specifically Fluid Mechanics.
- Familiar with 3D CAD design software (CREO/Pro-E preferred) to turn concepts into functional equipment.
- Able to specify materials and demonstrate knowledge of stress, strain, and strength evaluation methods to ensure product durability.
- Knowledge of casting design and machining, fabrication design, and ceramics is a plus.
- General proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Willing to travel in support of sales and customer jobs.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
