Scope and Responsibilities:
Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Develop team members through coaching, feedback, performance discussions, collaboration, and growth opportunities.
- Participate in resource planning, onboarding, and interview processes as needed to support department hiring efforts.
- Provide consistent leadership, communication, and direction to production personnel to ensure clear expectations and accountability.
- Lead daily workforce operations, including resource management, attendance, and team alignment.
- Create a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes engagement, collaboration, and employee satisfaction.
- Collaborate with HR, Safety, Quality, engineering, and other departments to support smooth daily operations and address people‑related needs.
- Support conflict resolution, employee concerns, and workplace issues in partnership with HR and management.
- Analyze workforce trends such as attendance, productivity concerns, and training needs to recommend people-focused improvements alongside Workforce Development Director.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, workplace safety requirements, and employee conduct standards.
- Conduct performance check‑ins, coaching conversations, and documentation to maintain consistent workforce development.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly working area by promoting employee accountability and reporting any concerns.
- Recommend people‑focused process improvements to enhance engagement, communication, and operational flow.
- Communicate regularly with team members and leadership to ensure alignment of expectations, priorities, and performance.
- Support training coordination by identifying skill gaps, scheduling needed training, and monitoring progress.
- Participate in cross‑functional meetings and initiatives designed to improve workflow, communication, and team effectiveness.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
Skills:
- Prefer prior leadership experience
- Effective problem-solving skills and ability to solve technical problems
- Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects to meet customer expectations
- Comfort with presenting information to different levels of individuals
