Engineering Design & Drafting Support

Key Responsibilities
Engineering Design & Drafting Support
- Develop, modify, and maintain mechanical, piping, and industrial drawings using AutoCAD and manual drafting methods.
- Prepare drawing packages, equipment layouts, bills of materials, and supporting project documentation.
- Review and update drawings to reflect design changes, markups, and engineering revisions.
- Ensure all drawings and deliverables conform to company procedures, client specifications, and drafting standards.
- Assist engineering personnel with design development and project execution activities.
- Participate in field verification efforts and collect project information when required.
- Manage multiple drafting assignments while maintaining accuracy, consistency, and quality.
- Maintain project records, documentation, and filing systems in both electronic and hard-copy formats.
- Prepare and distribute reports, transmittals, meeting minutes, correspondence, and other project-related documents.
- Support document control activities, including tracking revisions and maintaining current project files.
- Coordinate meetings, schedules, and project communications as directed by project leadership.
- Monitor project milestones, deliverables, and deadlines to support overall project progress.
- Serve as a professional point of contact for internal teams, clients, vendors, and external engineering organizations.
- Provide general administrative and project support to assist engineering and project management teams as needed
- Associate degree in Engineering Technology or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Two to five years of experience in mechanical drafting, design, or a related technical support role. Entry level experience may also be considered with an appropriate degree.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and traditional drafting practices.
- Experience producing mechanical, piping, and industrial engineering drawings.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Visio.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities.
