Position Summary
Camden Rockport School District is seeking a van driver for an average of 30 hours per week (additional hours may be available for field trips and athletic events). This position is responsible for ensuring passenger safety and performing basic vehicle inspections.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport students and other passengers to and from school, and between school and events/field trips as needed.
- Obey all traffic laws.
- Ensure passenger safety.
- Discipline students as needed to maintain a safe environment.
- Perform vehicle safety inspections.
Qualifications/Skills
- Attention to vehicle safety.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
Requirements
- Background check, including fingerprinting and a driving record check.
- Valid Maine driver’s license.
- DOT Physical.
- Pre-Employment drug testing.
Pay and Benefits
- Pay ranges from $19.00-$21.00 based on commercial driving experience. A 2.5% increase is provided each year
