What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Lathe Set-Up Machinist position at Five Star Manufacturing, Inc.?
The CNC Lathe Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathes to manufacture production and custom machined components according to blueprint specifications and quality standards. This role requires knowledge of turning operations, tooling adjustments, offsets, and routine machine operation in a manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Setup / operate CN Lathe Machines
· Troubleshoot setups and programs
· Inspect parts per print and in process documentation
· Conduct daily basic machine maintenance
· Clear chips and maintain safe work environment
Competencies:
· Ability to read blueprints
· GD&T Knowledge
· Proficient use of micrometers, gauging, and comparator
· Familiarity with Citizen and Starr Swiss Machines is a plus
· Ability to follow written policies and procedures
Experience:
· 3 to 5 years’ experience required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32.00 - $38.00 per hour
