Job description
Five Star Learning Centers in Troy, IL is now hiring caring and nurturing early childhood education teachers that understand the value of play-based curriculum. Candidates must meet DCFS requirements to be teacher-qualified (60 semester hours of college with 6 related to ECE, OR 30 semester hours of college with 6 related to ECE and 1 year of experience at an early childhood program, OR a CDA.
Child Care Teacher responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Developing lesson plans.
· Meeting the individual needs of the children.
· Parent communication.
· Participation in staff and training meetings.
· Designing an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom.
· Interacting with the children to support play, exploration, and learning.
· Presenting expectations that are appropriate to the child's age and developmental level.
· Planning and implementing activities that develop self-esteem and social skills.
· Communicating appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff.
· Building teamwork.
Pay Scale:
Assistant Teacher: 16.00-17.25 ** Pay vary between full or part time
· Teacher qualified:
- Part Time: 18.00 or Substitute: 18.00 *Substitute hours may vary between full or part time per week
- Full Time in classroom: 18.50
