Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
About the Role
Five Star Breaktime Solutions is seeking a Service Technician – Refreshment Services (Breakroom & Coffee Equipment) to maintain, repair, and install coffee brewers, bean-to-cup machines, espresso units, water filtration systems, and related breakroom equipment.
This role is not a vending technician role. It specializes in technical service for coffee and hydration equipment in office and breakroom environments. We’re looking for candidates with experience in office coffee service (OCS), espresso equipment, hot beverage machines, or filtration systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on coffee brewers, espresso machines, bean-to-cup systems, filtration units, and breakroom beverage equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, water flow, and brewing issues using manufacturer manuals and diagnostic tools.
- Install, calibrate, descale, sanitize, and test coffee machines and hot beverage equipment.
- Install and maintain water filtration systems, including filter replacement, water testing, and flow adjustments.
- Maintain proper inventory of coffee machine parts and filtration supplies on service vehicles and in the warehouse.
- Support equipment preparation for installation, staging, and quality testing before deployment.
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring breakroom equipment is fully operational and meeting beverage quality standards.
- Maintain accurate service documentation, including maintenance logs, parts usage, and repair summaries.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain clean, organized workspaces and service vehicles.
- Perform additional duties as assigned when not on service calls.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in coffee equipment service, breakroom services, espresso repair, bean-to-cup machines, or office coffee service (OCS).
- Knowledge of brewing temperatures, grinder calibration, flow rates, water systems, and sanitation standards.
- Experience with filtration technology, RO units, or water quality testing.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school preferred.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
- Must be 21 years old for DOT requirements.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Must pass background check and drug screening.
- Ability to work safely in all weather conditions.
- Mechanical/electrical troubleshooting experience required.
