Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating and project support, with the ability to collaborate effectively, negotiate confidently, and build lasting relationships with clients and subcontractors.
This is a key position responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates—essential to evaluating project profitability and maintaining the company’s desired backlog of work.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project managers to establish project budgets and schedules.
- Negotiate pricing and contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Review and analyze blueprints, specifications, and related documentation to prepare accurate time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Prepare and present detailed reports, including breakdowns of labor, materials, and overhead costs.
- Track and monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle to ensure adherence to budget.
- Maintain organized, up-to-date records of estimates and revisions for future reference.
- Utilize estimating software (such as STACK) to develop detailed cost breakdowns.
Experience & Qualifications
- 2 years’ experience in construction project estimating (drywall preferred).
- Associate’s degree in construction is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office software environments.
- Proficiency with estimating software (STACK preferred).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills with a track record of successful contract management.
- Ability to read contract documents, including architectural drawings and specifications.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Familiarity with project management principles and practices.

- Highly motivated, self-driven, and effective in team collaboration.
- Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of experience as a construction/drywall estimator required.
- Computer Skills, including work with various estimating programs (Stack is preferred), Microsoft Word & excel.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.00 per week
