About The Role
Five Star Breaktime Solutions is a premier provider of away-from-home convenience services, committed to delivering innovative breaktime solutions that enhance customer experiences. We are seeking a Café Associate - Cashier to support café operations by delivering excellent customer service, handling cash transactions with accuracy, and maintaining a clean, efficient dining environment.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys engaging with guests, works well in a fast-paced setting, and takes pride in accuracy, professionalism, and dependability.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, professional customer service to guests throughout their dining experience.
- Accurately process cash, credit, and electronic transactions using POS systems and 10-key functions.
- Complete daily paperwork, including cash sheets, deposit summaries, audit reports, discrepancy reports, and supply-related documentation.
- Use automated café and food service equipment during the work shift.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier station, dining area, and service zones.
- Assist with stocking supplies, monitoring product levels, and communicating shortages.
- Support café staff in delivering timely, accurate service during meal periods.
Qualifications
- Strong math, cash-handling, and 10-key proficiency required.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Prior cashier or hospitality experience preferred.
General Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to lift 35 pounds or more repeatedly; frequent bending, reaching, and stooping required.
- Ability to stand for an entire 8-hour shift.
- Must pass a company background check.
- Must pass a company drug screening.
- Ability to follow all workplace safety, sanitation, and operational guidelines.
