Key Responsibilities
- Emergency & Resident Service Calls: Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls, resident inquiries, and urgent service tickets during weekend hours.
- General Repairs: Perform routine maintenance tasks including minor plumbing repairs, basic electrical troubleshooting, hardware fixes, drywall patching, and light carpentry.
- Grounds & Safety Inspections: Conduct regular property walk-throughs to verify security, inspect common areas, address safety hazards, and ensure trash/recycling areas are tidy.
- Vehicle Operations: Operate the provided company van responsibly to travel between property sites, haul tools, and retrieve necessary materials.
- Documentation & Work Orders: Accurately log completed maintenance requests, stock usage, and notable incidents using the company mobile management portal.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in property maintenance, residential construction, or a general handyman role.
- Technical Knowledge: Working proficiency in basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC troubleshooting, and general building maintenance.
- Driver's License: Must possess a valid Driver’s License and maintain a clean driving record to operate the company vehicle.
- Problem Solving: Strong independent decision-making capabilities to handle urgent maintenance situations without immediate supervision.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks in various weather conditions.
Terms of Employment
- Schedule: Every Saturday and Sunday.
- Company Van: A dedicated company service vehicle and fuel card are provided for work use during scheduled hours.
- Benefits Note: This position is strictly a part-time hourly role and does not include paid vacation time, paid time off (PTO), medical benefits, or paid holidays.
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8.0 – 16.0 per week
