What you’ll do
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process customer transactions with accuracy.
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting them with their needs.
- Stock shelves and merchandise products effectively to maintain an organized and inviting shopping environment.
- Conduct product demonstrations to engage customers and promote new items or special offers.
- Utilize retail math skills to manage cash handling, ensuring all transactions are balanced at the end of your shift.
- Upsell products by identifying customer needs and suggesting complementary items during checkout.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in both the cashier area and stockroom to promote safety and efficiency.
- Exhibit strong communication skills while interacting with customers and team members to foster a collaborative work environment.
Basic qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred.
- Strong basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Good memory for window service orders.
- Common sense and the ability to understand or state when you don't understand.
Preferred qualifications
- Supervising experience is a plus, as you may assist in training new team members.
