The Receptionist position provides exceptional service to internal and external customers for Five Points Bank and Five Points Bank of Hastings. Answer incoming calls and direct multi-line phone system calls to appropriate bank staff for all locations. The candidate also routes mail to the correct department or person. Further, they will handle mailed in deposits or loan payments on a timely and accurate basis.
Essential Functions:
- Answers telephone and routes calls promptly to appropriate bank staff for all locations using Zoom.
- Check all bank voicemail and forward messages to appropriate staff.
- Receives, sorts, and posts all incoming mail from U.S. Post Office and/or courier services and promptly distributes mail.
- Assists other departments as requested or assigned.
- Verify U.S. Postal address change forms and service charges to customers.
- Verification of Deposits; including AVS and SSI.
- Greet people when they enter the building. Communicate with appropriate personnel their appointment has arrived.
- Deliver/communicate when packages arrive
- Process mail-in transactions
- Organize Tech Center supplies when needed
- All other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
Knowledge & Experience:
· Basic Computer Skills- experience using Office products
· Banking Knowledge – an understanding of various banking departments
· Courteous, efficient telephone manner; prompt routing of calls and messages
· Active Listening – Giving full attention to what others are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate
· Communication Skills – the ability to communicate effectively
Education/Training:
High School Diploma (GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) and banking experience

Work Environment:
Work environment is generally indoors, but may require travel to other facilities, events and functions outside the normal office environment.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Status/Standard Schedule:
Hourly part time position (20 to 25 hours per week)- Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 and 1:00 p.m.
