As we continue to expand, we are seeking a Director of Instruction to serve as a regional leader for our golf coaching teams. This role is both executional and developmental - ensuring that new initiatives from HQ are implemented fully and on time, while also supporting local management and fostering a strong instructional culture.

Pay: Estimated total annual compensation ranges from $120,000 to $140,000, depending on performance. Includes a competitive base salary plus strong incentive-based compensation opportunities.

As we continue to expand, we are seeking a Director of Instruction to serve as a regional leader for our golf coaching teams. This role is both executional and developmental - ensuring that new initiatives from HQ are implemented fully and on time, while also supporting local management and fostering a strong instructional culture.
Key Responsibilities
Field Execution & Initiative Rollouts
- Act as the primary link between HQ and the field for instruction-related initiatives.
- Roll out all new programs, certifications, SOPs, and training requirements from HQ, ensuring 100% completion and compliance in your region.
- Track adoption, report progress, and escalate when deadlines or standards are not met.
- Partner with NDOI to guarantee that initiatives translate into consistent execution at the location level.
- Serve as the center of excellence for all coaches in your designated region.
- Mentor, guide, and develop coaches to enhance instructional quality and professional growth.
- Conduct regular lesson reviews, swing evaluation reviews, and workshops to maintain a consistent instructional standard.
- Lead bi-weekly huddles with regional coaches and host monthly in-person meetups for coaches in close proximity.
- Participate in tier advancement decisions, helping evaluate when coaches are ready to progress.
- Foster a culture of recognition, collaboration, and peer-to-peer learning across the region.
- Assist with interviewing and hiring coaches for your region, leveraging your network and engaging in outbound recruiting.
- Train and onboard new coaches with guidance from NDOI to ensure smooth integration into Five Iron’s culture, systems, and teaching standards.
- Partner with GMPs to identify underperforming pros and provide targeted support and coaching.
- Contribute to succession planning, identifying and developing high-potential coaches to become future Senior Pros and Directors of Instruction.
- Ensure coach schedules are optimized, with each coach maintaining 40 hours of availability per week.
- Work with GMPs to ensure coaches meet monthly lesson delivery goals (80 hours).
- Collaborate with GMPs to guarantee coverage for events, clinics, seminars, and instructional programming needs.
- Ensure coaches attend and actively engage in corporate training and meetings.
- Provide regular reporting to NDOI on regional instructional performance, compliance, and growth opportunities.
- Lead training programs on Callaway Tour Fitting, ensuring every coach in your region achieves required certification and follows SOPs.
- Host fitting educational workshops to strengthen product knowledge, sales confidence, and fitting expertise.
- Ensure coaches actively seed fittings into lessons, creating a natural pathway from instruction to fittings.
- Track fitting program compliance and partner with GMPs to align fitting integration with performance and revenue goals.
- Act as a brand ambassador for Five Iron Golf, representing the company at events, networking opportunities, and community activations.
- Build culture among coaches through active interaction in group chats, calls, activities, and recognition initiatives.
- Support Five Iron’s mission of making golf more accessible, inclusive, and fun for everyone.

- If the instruction budget is beaten by 5%, the quarterly bonus equals 2% of annual salary.
- Fitting Budget Incentive: If the fitting budget is met for the quarter, an additional 1% of annual salary is awarded.
- Profitability Goal: Must be achieved to qualify for any bonus payout.
