Five & Done is a design and technology studio looking to add a Director of Growth to our team in Mission Viejo, CA.
Job Description:
As Director of Growth, you will help drive the next phase of Five & Done’s story. You will be our consultative seller and deal architect—someone who can identify strong opportunities, lead discovery conversations, shape strategic engagements, and help close complex digital initiatives with growing brands. You will work closely with company leadership to turn relationships, conversations, and market opportunities into meaningful long-term client partnerships.
We Expect You To:
Drive New Business Opportunities
- Develop and manage a focused pipeline of target accounts
- Partner with leadership to activate warm introductions and strategic relationships
- Partner closely with our marketing manager to execute a strong outbound strategy, including targeted cold outreach campaigns and thought leadership initiatives
- Qualify opportunities and prioritize high-value pursuits
Lead Discovery & Deal Shaping
- Conduct executive-level discovery conversations
- Identify business challenges, organizational dynamics, and growth opportunities
- Help clients clarify what success looks like
- Shape phased engagements that are strategically valuable and commercially viable
Own the Sales Process
- Lead opportunities from qualification through close
- Coordinate internal teams during proposal development
- Partner with leadership and delivery teams to craft compelling, differentiated proposals
- Drive momentum, timelines, and follow-up throughout the sales cycle
Support Growth Strategy
- Help refine target account strategy and outreach approaches
- Provide market feedback on positioning, offerings, and competitive landscape
- Collaborate with marketing on thought leadership, case studies, and sales enablement materials
Bring Some Things to the Table
- A consultative approach to selling
- 7–10 years of experience in digital agency business development, consultative sales, digital product/platform sales, or CX/commerce/transformation engagements
- Experience selling websites/platforms, digital transformation work, product or experience design, and technology-enabled engagements
- Southern California based
- Existing professional network within enterprise and/or upper mid-market brands
- Experience managing complex sales cycles and multi-stakeholder deals
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work closely with founders and cross-functional teams
- Collaborative personality with no ego
