What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finance Associate position at Five County Credit Union?
This position is responsible for processing Accounts Payable checks, processing Qwickrate dividend payments, Teller Check and Money Order
clearing, General Ledger balancing and maintenance, as well as daily support to all other areas of the Finance Department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Process Accounts Payable & Bookkeeping checks as scheduled or needed.
2. Settle Teller Check & Money Order Statements with Tricorp daily, weekly, and monthly.
3. On a daily basis, if applicable, save any CU Promise, CU Advantage, Portfolio, or BLS loan sheets and enter information onto a spreadsheet, to be posted at a later date.
4. Process Qwickrate dividend payments, received by checks, plus incoming and outgoing ACH origination and wire transfers.
5. Maintain the returned card inventory.
6. Fulfill and respond subpoena and summons requests in a timely manner.
7. Maintained updated various GL names and accounts.
8. Assist with various month end duties, including but not limited to: life savings insurance balance, teller #500 email to IT, balancing some GLs, transfer AIRES files, post approved plastic charge offs, create branch manager report, eFunds billing, Neach billing, etc.
9. Scanning and archiving miscellaneous documents as necessary.
10. Assist Credit Union staff with research inquiries and issues on member accounts.
11. Cross train other Finance Department employees in the position's responsibilities and functions to backup other duties such as MySynergent tickets, Check Collections balancing, Synforms processing, etc.
12. Ensure that daily activities conform to applicable policies and regulations.
13. Respond to changes in organizational needs in a positive and professional manner, performing other tasks as needed.

- Ensure all activity complies with applicable policies and regulations.
- Be depended upon to perform all duties as scheduled, accurately and efficiently.
- Foster and maintain effective collaborative relations within the department and with other departments.
- Represent the credit union in a positive and professional manner to the members, other credit unions, industry affiliates, the community, and all media channels including social media.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. All essential functions are performed in an office setting. Temperatures in the climate-controlled office may fluctuate. Work area is sometimes noisy due to multiple member transactions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Employee may not be able to easily leave work area unless for a scheduled break.
MENTAL DEMANDS:
The mental demands for this position include: the need to be alert to member needs, to be resourceful in solving member problems, and to be precise when updating member accounts. The employee must be able to deal with people effectively under adverse and/or stressful conditions, occasionally be persuasive, use judgment, and exhibit patience.
