Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role located in Brooklyn, NY. The Volunteer Volleyball Stat Keeper will be responsible for recording accurate statistics during volleyball games, including player performance metrics and team scores. Responsibilities include observing gameplay, noting key events, maintaining organized and detailed records, and collaborating with coaches, players, and officials to ensure the accuracy of collected data. Additionally, the Stat Keeper may assist with preparing summary reports based on recorded statistics for review and analysis after games.
Responsibilities
- Track match statistics (sets, scores, basic player stats)
- Assist league staff with match verification
- Maintain accuracy and professionalism during games
- Communicate with referees and league ops staff as needed
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record data in real-time settings
- Basic understanding of volleyball rules, gameplay, and statistics tracking
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with team members, coaches, and officials
- Proficiency in using spreadsheet software or statistics tracking tools
- Ability to stay focused and manage time effectively under high-pressure situations
- Previous experience in sports statistics or scorekeeping is preferred but not required
- Availability to attend in-person matches and a passion for volleyball and sports
