Essential Duties
- Collaboratively build, document, and maintain Business Intelligence reports and dashboards with organizational stakeholders. As well as SQL queries, functions, tables, and stored procedures used by the reports and dashboards.
- Design, implement, maintain on-premise and cloud databases servers to meet organizational needs while ensuring data and user security, integrity, and performance.
- Monitoring, updating software and troubleshooting
- Developing and implementing database backup/recovery plans as part of the Agency Disaster Recovery plan
- Maintaining documentation
- Manage data replication from vendors. Create, modify and automate data flow scripts to retrieve data from vendors and copy into a local database or cloud-based database for reporting. Update local and cloud databases with internal financial and clinical data. Maintain vendor relationships and contact them if needed for support.
- Mentor Data Architect staff, monitoring the performance of assignments and projects. Give input for Data Architect staff performance reviews.
- Maintain user security for access control regarding Electronic Health Record system, data reporting and database access
- Support all levels of the organization with the usage of our Electronic Health Record system and HR management systems, including fulfilling help desk tickets pertaining to all data systems, dashboards and reports.
- Lead and/or participate in projects to improve processes involved in data flow, data capture, and reporting.
- Provide custom user reports by querying external databases and supporting processes and procedures from other organizational departments.
- Maintain knowledge in critical organization business rules, workflow and procedures, including:
- Mental health billing processes
- Clinical documentation, procedures and processes
- Usage and setup of Electronic Health Record and HR management systems
- Financial and HR operations and structures
- Explore, and implement new work processes and improvements including software, hardware, workflow, etc.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a similar technical discipline
- Driver's License and insurance.
- Minimum Experience: 5 years of experience supporting data systems and report writing
- 3 years or more of data or information systems architecture experience
- Experience developing dashboards and automation in SQL data flow.
- Strong understanding of the principles and practices of relational data structures
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to understand user requirements and to facilitate a discussion of data flow processes
- Experience with working with people across different departments and corporate levels
- Project management experience and team leadership experience
- Understanding and/or experience with Private Healthcare Information (PHI) and HIPAA regulations is preferred.
- Knowledge of non-profit business processes and LACDMH clinical/medical billing processes is preferred.
Compensation Range: $75,888/yr - $107,880/yr
