We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Automotive Parts Manager to lead our parts department with energy and precision. Responsibilities
- Manage the entire lifecycle of automotive parts inventory, including ordering, stocking, and tracking using advanced order management systems and ERP platforms.
- Lead procurement activities by sourcing OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts, negotiating pricing and terms with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery to meet demand planning requirements.
- Oversee warehouse operations including shipping & receiving, equipment repair, and storage logistics to optimize space utilization and inventory accuracy.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships through regular communication, performance evaluations, and strategic sourcing initiatives to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Utilize automotive diagnostics knowledge and mechanical expertise to assist with technical inquiries related to parts compatibility and automotive service needs.
- Implement inventory control procedures using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools to reduce waste and improve stock accuracy.
- Coordinate with dealership teams and automotive service departments to fulfill customer orders efficiently while providing excellent customer service.
- Supervise warehouse staff, ensure compliance with safety standards such as forklift operation certifications, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Monitor supply chain metrics like demand planning accuracy, pricing trends, and logistics performance to enhance overall operational efficiency.
Experience
- Proven experience in supply chain management within the automotive industry or related manufacturing sectors.
- Strong background in supplier management, procurement management, and negotiation strategies.
- Hands-on knowledge of automotive diagnostics, auto body repair processes, OEM parts sourcing, and dealership operations.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems such as AS400 or similar platforms, inventory management software, and order management systems.
- Experience in shipping & receiving procedures, equipment repair including HVAC systems for vehicle maintenance environments.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with data entry skills for accurate record keeping and inventory control.
