This job is 90% keeping production extrusion equipment running 10% building maintenance. EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE EXPERIENCE is required. While building maintenance is solid experience to have, it is not the experience that is being sought for this job.

Do you have previous experience in an equipment mechanical maintenance role?
The Equipment Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintenance of extrusion & assembly equipment, with some time spent on facility electric, heating and cooling.
The person in this job will be trained on first shift but work on 2nd shift.
Daily, onsite attendance is required at the job's location in Anderson, Indiana.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure compliance with all safety requirements and company policies.
Our warehouse has entirely new extrusion, winder and assembly equipment, cooling systems, a Pump Room, Chillers, and electrical schematics.
Duties include
- Performs maintenance on all-new extrusion equipment.
- Monitors assets according to preventive maintenance schedules.
- Proactively identifies unforeseen issues that will cause production interruptions.
- Performs routine maintenance on building systems.
- Mechanical repairs will be approximately 90% of the work, with small electrical and building maintenance work making up 10%.
- Assists with the general upkeep of facilities.
- Tracks, orders, and restocks supplies needed for operations and maintenance.
- May require occasional overtime, call-out and weekend work. [Reporting pay is included in our pay package].
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Must have 3 years' experience in mechanical equipment maintenance.
- Must have 1 years' general knowledge of environmental procedures and operational controls.
- Must have at least 1 years' experience with electrical work.
- Must have at least 1 years' experience with LOTO.
- MUST have worked in a production environment where goal is to keep machines are running 24x7.
Knowledge of touch screens and use of computers is required for
- job tracking system
- ability to report and track maintenance work.
PREFERRED
- Extrusion machine operating experience.
- Experience making recommendations for future maintenance activities to keep equipment operational 24x7.

- Familiarity with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Qualified applicants must be able to
- Safely lift, push, pull and move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.
- Stand and walk for an entire shift of 8 to 10 hours on hard concrete floors in required steel-toe footwear.
- Perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Perform tasks using two hands, including computer work.
- Perform work safely in a physical job and warehouse environment that will have temperature fluctuations, including cold, heat and humidity.
- Ability to safely climb ladders and operate lifts of varying heights.
