Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and energetic 3rd Shift Forklift and Reach Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. This vital role involves operating various types of heavy equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks, to efficiently handle materials and manage inventory. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely loading and unloading shipments, order picking, moving raw material to production, and maintaining accurate inventory records within a fast-paced warehouse environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to smooth warehouse operations during the overnight shift while ensuring safety standards are upheld at all times.

Duties

• Operate forklift, reach truck, cherry picker, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with OSHA and company safety protocols.
• Load and unload inbound shipments and prepare outbound orders with precision using barcode scanning systems for logistics accuracy.
• Pick, pack, and organize orders accurately utilizing order picker equipment to meet shipping deadlines.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic repairs or report maintenance needs to ensure optimal operation of all machinery.
• Assist in warehouse distribution activities by coordinating the movement of materials within the facility while adhering to manual handling safety standards.
• Support shipping & receiving processes by verifying shipments against documentation, ensuring proper labeling, and maintaining safety standards in heavy lifting and materials handling.
• Required: forklift experience > 1 year.
• Required: familiarity with order picking processes and warehouse management systems of 1 year or more.
• Required: 1 or more years of scanners and computer proficiency of 3 or 4 on a scale of 1 to 5 is required. 5 is advanced computer proficiency.
• Knowledge of equipment operation and ability to adhere to safety standards is essential.
• Strong ability to follow instructions accurately while working independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate Forklift and Reach Truck to transport materials safely within the warehouse.
• Safely load and unload shipments, ensuring safe and accurate placement of goods.
• Perform order picking tasks, selecting items based on customer orders with precision.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
• Timely reporting of equipment issues and maintenance needs.
• Assist in maintaining an organized and clean work environment in accordance with OSHA standards.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
• Excellent understanding of warehouse operations including shipping & receiving processes and materials handling techniques.
