Role Description This part-time, on-site Certified Personal Trainer role is based at a Crunch Fitness location operated by Fitness Ventures in Columbia, MO. The Certified Personal Trainer will provide individual and small-group fitness instruction, including designing customized workout programs, demonstrating proper exercise techniques, and monitoring member progress. Responsibilities include conducting fitness assessments, educating members on safe and effective training methods, and promoting overall wellness. The role also involves engaging with members on the gym floor, encouraging consistent participation, and supporting a positive, inclusive environment. Trainers may assist with member onboarding, support group training formats, and collaborate with club staff to ensure an excellent member experience.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Personal Training and Fitness Instruction to design and lead safe, effective workouts.
- Candidates should possess skills in Circuit Training and Sports Coaching to support varied training styles and performance-focused programs.
- Candidates should possess skills in Nutrition to provide basic guidance that supports members’ fitness and wellness goals.
- Nationally recognized personal training certification (e.g., NASM, ACE, ACSM, ISSA) required; CPR/AED certification strongly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and engage diverse member populations.
- Ability to work a flexible, part-time schedule, including evenings and weekends, and to perform physical job duties safely.
- Experience in a health club or fitness environment preferred; background in exercise science, kinesiology, or related field is a plus.
