Responsibilities
- Design safe and effective programs, accommodating the unique needs/goals of clients
- Represent yourself professionally through your appearance, language and behavior
- Performing individual fitness assessments for clients every 4-6 weeks
- Interact with clients and team members without judgement, and express empathy
- Express patience, determination, and genuine care to hold clients accountable to reaching their goals
- Foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration to meet the needs of those around you
- Constantly look for ways to improve your skills to grow as an expert in your field
Qualifications
- Availability M W F 12noon - 7pm (occassional Saturday)
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or related field preferred
- National Certification required
- One year of personal training and program design experience
- Experience & success working with special populations preferred
- Understanding of injury prevention/management
- CPR/AED and First Aid Certification
- Excellent verbal communication and listening skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to each clients individual needs
- Must have the emotional stamina to be "at your best" with each client
- Enjoys and excels in a TEAM work environment
