Field Maintenance Technician - Fitness Equipment
Fitness Machine Technicians of Northeast Cleveland is growing fast and looking for high-performance, all-star technicians. These positions are either full or part time. Technicians perform both repair and preventative maintenance at fitness centers throughout the Northeast Cleveland area (Cuyahoga, Geagua, Lake, Portage and Summit counties). After training, this job allows you to define your hours.
This position is mobile with travel to commercial and consumer locations to make repairs and conduct preventative maintenance on fitness equipment. A company car is provided. Field technicians independently diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues with fitness equipment as well as perform scheduled preventative maintenance. Every day is different and rewarding as you diagnose and solve customer issues.
Experience & Requirements:
- Mechanical/Electrical aptitude and experience working with hand tools required (HVAC technicians and auto mechanics have been very successful in this position)
- Logical approach to diagnosing mechanical/electrical problems
- Has a customer service orientation and takes an entrepreneurial approach to helping customers resolve problems with fitness equipment
- Intermediate level computer skills
- Communicates clearly both orally and in writing
- Occasionally required to manipulate or lift awkward or heavy equipment
- Experience maintaining and repairing fitness equipment is preferred, but not required. Full training provided.
Candidates must be dependable, possess a valid, unrestricted driver’s license, a clean driving record and successfully complete a background check, drug screening and motor vehicle record check.
Reliable transportation to get back and forth to the office is required as well as a smartphone.
